Me and My Family went to Lacasa Del Sol(House of the Sun) yesterday, and it was really good. Food 5/5
Food was fresh, and I left very satisfied. Time 3/5 Timeliness of service was about average for a restaurant, and even though I had to wait awhile for my food, waitress was very prompt in making sure we had our appetizers and drinks. Restroom+Decor 4/5 Restroom was very well kept, and decor is very nice, however lighting although sets a good mood not quite the best for picture taking. Service 5/5 Definitely was pleased with the service, and waitress that I have had there have all been pretty professional.

I watched Thor: The Dark World Which is a sequel to Marvel's Super Hero movie Thor, and It was pretty nice I'd give it 3.7 stars. High points of the Movie The movie had great visual work done. The movie did a fairly good job at showing the aftermath of the New York Incident, and presenting a new threat. Low points of the Movie Language was really minimal, having heard only two exclamations of the S word, one of which was cut off. They had a lot of violence but it is an action movie, some scenes will frighten children that are not used to PG-13 action movies. Professor Eric, had a few clothing issues in the movie. In closing I want to say I really enjoyed the movie, and can't wait for Captain America: Winter Soldier! BEWARE SPOILERS BELOW. MARVELNESS You Might have Missed Marvel Comics usually have a bonus teaser clip which usually hints at a future movie after the credits, so if you walked out Shame on you lol Because you missed a sneak peak of Characters hinting about future infinity stones. Stan Lee makes an appearance in Marvel Comic movies, and he appeared in an insane asylum. PARENTAL GUIDANCE SUGGESTED Although I try to keep my reviews for a general audience It would be very difficult to do so with this movie. I watched Forrest Gump after seeing that it was available on Netflix. It was on my watching list of movies which had very good visual effects work, so I decided I would go ahead and check it out. My Synopsis: The movie is essentially about a man with Asberger Syndrome who spends his life trying to get out of the friend zone with his friend Jenny, and overcoming many obstacles and gaining different achievements along the way. Due to a spinal abnormality a family doctor, provides him with leg braces to help him walk, the leg braces are kept on longer than what they should have been and it causes the muscles in his legs to allow him to run at abnormally fast speeds, and long distances. My Opinion on the movie: High points of the movie The movie had a very interesting plot and had a lot of historical references which were very fun to watch, visual effects work was kinda of hokey at times but considering this was made in the nineties it was very elaborate for the time. The movie did a fairly good job at showing Forrest Gump's progression through his life, and it was very inspiring to those who are struggling with different Cognitives differences. Low points of the movie This movie although inspiring as it is, definitely is not intended for a young audience which really is quite a shame, because if they would have left out the Sex,Drugs, and Foul Language it would have made for a really good family movie. First example, of what really hurt this from being a family friendly movie Forrest Gump's IQ was 5 points to low to be enrolled in regular High school so his mother makes arrangements with the principal of the school to look passed his score in exchange for one night with her, a young Forrest in shown outside the house while "noise" is heard inside their home. They also have other various scenes where both men and women are scantily clad, they also make references to Child molestation, very vague reference to Aids/HIV, and other topics you might not be ready to explain to your little ones. This movie barely makes the PG-13 rating and is more closer to an R rating then most other PG-13 movies. My final rating for this movie would be a 1.5/5 I hate giving it such a low score because it had a lot of potential. Yesterday I went with my family and it was decided that we would go to the Ground Pati, It was really good! For My Meal, I had the El Patio which came with a side of fries, and a Salad.
Food 4/5 I have eaten there a few times, and never had a complaint about the food. Price 2/5 The food is a lil on the pricey side but not too expensive, considering the amount of food you get for your money. Time 3/5 Food has about average delivery time. Decor 4/5 The place has a very nice atmosphere, and has very colorful stained glass. windows Service 4/5 Service was absolutely excellent, and waitress was above average, she made sure we were well taken care of. I watched Amazing love recently, It's about a camp counselor who decides to tell the teens he takes on a camping trip the story of the prophet Hosea, who was a potter as well as God's spokesmen to His people. He was asked by God to take a wife who was a whoremonger to be an example of His faithfulness to an unfaithful people. High points of the movie The movie although a small budget one, was fun to watch, and it had a really good way of telling the story of Hosea. Low points of the movie If you don't want to have to explain what a whore or harlot is to your little ones this isn't a movie for you, other than that it is a really family friendly film In Closing I liked the movie and I'd give it 5.0 stars. I'm not talking about REM sleep the dreams and nightmares variety, I'm talking about the Hope and Aspirations that someone is reaching toward achieving.
Everybody on this earth has them, sometimes they come into reality, and sometimes they don't for the ones that have achieved their dreams they have reached an amount of success that very few people can enjoy. The ones that give up on their dreams, are more then welcomed to join the many others that are now stuck in the grind of mediocre living. I'm striving to join the former and not the latter, although I have big dreams of being a successful Web Content provider which would allow me to help so many more people, I am very limited in the content I can produce right now, and even though I could just as easily give up and join the others in "The Grind" because of the struggles of this life I don't feel it is what God calls us to do. Galatians 6:9 mentions And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. My well doing is putting forth good clean entertainment, and useful reviews among other things, God didn't give me my skills in computers just to give them to me He has his reason, and season. It is my belief we are all called to greater things, then what the society status quo makes our lives out to be. If you believe in dreams, Be sure to like this page, If you believe in mine be sure to share this with everybody you know. This past week I read a book by a man named Eric Metaxas In this book he talks about seven men who have done some pretty great things, I will list them as following; 1. George Washington The father of our country and our first president, he could have become king, but declined this powerful position so that he could be a servant to the American people. 2. William Wilberforce Once a crooked politician this man became a Christian, who was a reformer for a better life for man. 3. Eric Liddell A Christian man who used his amazing physical gifts to Glorify God. 4. Dietrich Bonhoeffer A man who was a Christian, Spy, Prophet, and Martyr who helped plan to assassinate Hitler 5. Jackie Robinson Man who was the one to break racial barriers in sports, Instead of fighting he won by not fighting back. 6. Pope John Paul II A person that was given a powerful position unexpectedly, used his position to try to help mend grudges, and try to get people together despite doctrinal differences. 7. Charles W. Colson Man who was involved in the Watergate scandal, became a Christian and served time in jail and started a prison ministry. I really enjoyed the book, and would definitely read it again, aside from racial slurs in Man number 5 it was a really good read. This week while mowing the lawn I noticed that our Cactus plant had grown some ripe fruit, I taste tested it, and decided I would pick them after I was finished with the yard work.
The Fruit has quite a few names; Tuna(spanish), Cactus figs, Desert Pomegranates(coined by yours truly if someone hasn't done so before me) It really is quite a good little fruit, and the taste is very similar to Blackberries(juice), Pomegranates(seeds), and Plums() (DISCLAIMER Benefits and Drawbacks featured are of the Opuntia plant in its entirety, I was unable to find a site that would just provide info on the actual fruit as the whole Opuntia plant is edible. ) Benefits It is high in fiber, antioxidants and carotenoids. Drawbacks I had said earlier that I taste tested, I ate one fruit to make sure I didn't have any allergic reaction before I ate any more, this is a good idea for any kind of food you haven't tried before. If you'd like to try prickly pear cactus, consider easing into it. Prickly pear cactus can cause side effects, including intestinal issues, nausea, and abdominal fullness, for some people. Tips If you decide to pick fruit from the opuntia plant, I definitely recommend thick gloves even if you think you can avoid the thorns of this plant the thistles dislodge very easily and will get you, and make sure that no thistles are on the fruit that you have picked. |
