This year was my first time attending Relay for Life, it's an event, meant to bring people who are/were effected by Cancer, to help raise awareness and help encourage those that have cancer, and also to raise Cancer research.
Being Pro-Life I was kinda hesitant with Relay For Life being an ACS Fundraising event , but when my Girlfriend let me know that one of her relatives were involved, and would benefit from Relay for Life I made the decision to join up and check it out, it was really nice, I especially liked the Cancer Survivor March, and they had some good food there as well. Mr Marco who owns Lacasa Del Sol and used to me my neighbor made some really good Quasadillas Chips and Salsa. I also saw quite a few of my family members and friends there as well. I could definitely see going there again next year, but The Pro-lifer in me would definitely like to see ACS give up and stop wasting money on HESCR and put those kind of Funds toward furthering Adult Stem Cell Research. Thankfully I did some research and funds don't all go to that kind of research, and most of the money goes to various programs to help people afflicted by Cancer. I can see going to these events in the future, but if you really want to fight Cancer, without any HESCR Concerns for the time being, I would say Go with The St. Jude Organization.
